Safety Plan – Construction phase

The obligation to prepare the "Safety Plan for the OWF construction phase" (hereinafter: Plan) results from the "Conditions for the implementation of the undertaking" contained in the decision on the construction and use of artificial islands, structures and devices in Polish maritime areas for the construction of an offshore wind farm (hereinafter: PSZW Decision) issued by the minister responsible for maritime economy.

PSZW decisions issued in 2012-2013 contain relevant provisions in Part IV, paragraph 3 or in Part IV, paragraph 4.

PSZW decisions issued in 2023 contain relevant provisions in Part IV, paragraph 4.

General requirements for the Safety Plan for the construction phase of the OWF

The purpose of the Plan is to familiarize the structures of the Maritime Administration that may be directly or indirectly involved in activities taking place around the construction of the OWF.

The Plan will be submitted to, among others:

=> Port Captains' offices of Ustka, Łeba and other ports;

=> VTS Ławica Słupska, VTS Zatoka Gdańska;

=> SAR services;

=> Maritime Office departments (e.g. security, environmental protection, navigational markings);

=> Navy, Border Guard, Hydrographic Office.

The plan should be prepared in Polish.

The plan should include contact details for the person on duty in Poland, for communication in Polish, 24/7.
