Boulders re-location

The Developer who has a permission to build and use artificial islands (PSZW) and a permission for build, shall inform the Maritime Office and Hydrographic Office (BHMW) at least 14 days before the commencement of work.

The notification should include the following information:

- details of the investor and the entity performing the work;

- scope and type of work;

- the fact that the investor has a PSZW and a permission for build for the area where the work will be carried out

- method/technology of moving the boulders, estimated distances from the original position, whether the boulders will be recovered to the sea surface. In case when boulders being brought to the surface, their "status" changes and the Maritime Office Director's consent for dumping is required as per other regulations.

- start and end dates of works;

- area where works will be performed;

- data of units involved in the undertaking;

- contact details (in Poland) of the person responsible for the works carried out.

Any extension of works - should be reported 14 days in advance, in order to update navigation warnings.

The area of ​​works cannot extend beyond the area indicated in the PSZW. Boulders may be moved and placed only within the area indicated in the PSZW or within the boundaries of the cable corridor, in a uniform manner, so as not to create a "boulder field" (concentration of moved boulders in a small area).
